From June 9 to 11, the 18th GFSC Cold Chain Conference 2026 grandly kicked off in Dalian. With the theme "Revitalize Cold Chain Hubs, Embark on a New Journey for Smart Dalian," the event gathered leading enterprises, organizations and experts across the cold chain industry. In-depth discussions were held on key topics including the Belt and Road cold chain corridor development, green and low-carbon practices, and digital & intelligent transformation, aiming to build a safer, more efficient, eco-friendly and collaborative global food supply chain network.
Wu Xiao, Deputy General Manager of Shanghai Fastlink Doors Co., Ltd., was invited to the special forum and delivered a keynote speech titled "High-efficiency Cold Storage Door Systems: A New Benchmark for Energy Saving & Operational Acceleration." He shared the company’s technological innovations and project experience in high-speed cold storage doors, winning wide recognition from attendees.
The cold chain warehousing industry has long faced a core challenge amid the pursuit of efficiency and energy conservation: how to reduce cold air loss and boost operational efficiency. As a frequently operated key facility in cold storage warehouses, cold storage doors directly impact overall warehouse performance in terms of opening speed, thermal insulation, airtightness and maintenance costs.
Targeting common industry pain points such as cold leakage, frost formation, high energy consumption and complicated maintenance, Fastlink showcased a full range of high-speed cold storage doors and integrated solutions for cold chain loading & unloading areas at the conference.
With over 20 years of expertise in the door industry, Fastlink' s cold storage door series represents our core achievements. From structural design and intelligent control systems to product innovation and system integration, we keep upgrading technologies for diverse cold chain scenarios, helping clients cut energy costs and elevate operational efficiency simultaneously.
Traditionally, cold storage warehouses adopt a combined solution of metal sliding doors plus high-speed roll-up doors to balance thermal insulation and smooth passage. However, as cold chain warehousing raises higher requirements for space utilization, energy efficiency and maintenance convenience, the drawbacks of the conventional dual-door structure have become increasingly prominent.
Traditional combined door sets require reserved airlock rooms, which increase construction costs and occupy valuable warehouse space. Fastlink’s innovative all-in-one high-speed sliding cold storage door integrates rapid operation, superior thermal insulation and excellent airtightness. Replacing two doors with one, it eliminates the need for an airlock room and fully releases storage capacity.
The door features a maximum opening speed of 2.5 m/s, completing full opening and closing in around 2 seconds. Equipped with 100mm-thick third-generation waterproof thermal insulation panels with a thermal conductivity as low as 0.032 W/(m·K), together with Armor Lock limit rollers and a four-sided spherical sealing system, it effectively prevents cold air leakage.
The flexible panel can automatically reset after forklift collision, eliminating extra repair work. Fitted with our self-developed Smart Vision intelligent control system, it supports equipment linkage, real-time status monitoring and IoT expansion. Designed for a service life of up to 1 million operating cycles, it ensures long-term stable performance.Cost analysis shows that for a door opening of 2400mm × 2700mm, over 1 million operation cycles, Fastlink’s high-speed sliding cold storage door can save a total cost of RMB 95,810 compared with traditional dual-door solutions, delivering outstanding life-cycle cost advantages.
For cold storage areas with high-frequency access, Fastlink high-speed cold storage roll-up doors strike a perfect balance between minimal cold loss and smooth passage, thanks to fast opening & closing and premium thermal insulation. It reaches a maximum opening speed of 2.0 m/s. Equipped with variable frequency control, it reduces cold air loss caused by air convection. The 28mm thick insulated curtain has a thermal conductivity of 1.2 W/(m²·K), and the single door is applicable to cold storage environments as low as -20°C. Adopting a design of 5 sealing strips plus 4 cold break structures, it blocks heat transfer via high-density brushes, spherical seals, cold break profiles and reinforced insulation.
For doors installed on the low-temperature side of cold storage, we provide a customized package: track heating + low-temperature motor + thermal baffle. Heating wires (3 on one side, 6 on both sides) are installed inside tracks to prevent ice formation and ensure smooth operation. Special low-temperature motors run steadily in cold environments. A 40mm-thick polyurethane thermal baffle on top of the header gathers condensed water in designated areas and protects the top motor from temperature impact. This solution has been successfully applied in multiple projects including Puleng, Tustin and Yangqu.
Beyond the above two core products, Fastlink offers a complete product portfolio including insulated high-speed doors, metal sliding cold storage doors, insulated sectional cold storage doors, loading docks, dock shelters & seals, and intelligent control systems. The integrated solution combining insulated sectional doors, retractable loading docks and dock shelters achieves full cold insulation and sealing from the loading dock to truck containers. Covering cold storage construction, warehouse operation and loading & unloading processes, Fastlink delivers efficient, energy-saving and intelligent access solutions for cold chain facilities worldwide.
As a leading industrial door solution provider in China, Fastlink independently develops and manufactures industrial sectional doors, aluminum single-panel doors, PVC high-speed doors, rigid high-speed doors, high-speed sliding cold storage doors, loading docks, dock shelters and seals. We hold numerous technical patents and have obtained CE (Europe) and UL (USA) certifications.
